Week 10 post 3
I think it is really interesting that the Church was so reluctant to abandon the very egocentric world view with the earth carrying the humans in the center of the universe. I also love that I learned about deductive and inductive reasoning. I always knew that religion and science were similar in that they could not always define reality to its full extent (there is still room for error) although science is still more deductive than religion as it gives more logical explanation to natural phenomena.
What are more examples of scientific methodology and its religious parallels? Is that a sandwich?! I have always been interested in the idea that if there was infinite knowledge, that would prove how little we know about reality in knowing that anything divided by infinity would be zero. But of course we can't prove infinity and we dont know if there is infinite knowledge!!!! also why does pee come out of the nipples?
Why do you think churches focus so much on "one way is the right way"?
