Week 7 post 3
This kind of living and leading is far from wise or god-like. What is wise is to accept the continual ebb and flow of life and to accept change and ones individual lack of omniscience. The future is mathematically uncertain, so why not embrace uncertainty and welcome change-- especially when it could uplift a world of oppression.
This strongly relates to free will and change as change is always happening and there is no way to stop that. And once again I will emphasize that we are living in the present and there is no escaping that. We can't go back and change slavery or our environmental decisions we made 20 years ago. All you can do is accept now and better prepare for the future. We are headed full steam to an environmental catastrophe. Action was not taken soon enough, so we must find ways to survive the conditions we are heading for.
I wonder-if an alien came to earth, would they view the powerful oil dudes as the smart and good ones or the people who fight for change? I think definitely the activist. When you empirically look at it, a small group of people are killing people over substances- could you equate our dependance on the mining industry to an addiction?
How do you want people prepare for the future?
