Week 9 post 3

 Over the summer, I thoroughly enjoyed looking for examples of the fibbionacci sequence in nature, here are some more examples.











Also, I am thinking about how in the bible God said "it is good" on the final day, I wonder if when that was written, the author was perhaps referring to beauty and good things in nature. People are attracted to beautiful things, people want love and peace. Similarly to botanical growth and efficiency, take a look at the shape of the water crystals after certain things are repeated to them (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A-0PeUeYbqw)

The positive words and sounds result in beautiful visuals while the negative sounds and words show asymmetrical almost disgruntled looking visuals. Also, I think positivity is definitely universal. Think about how dogs respond better to positive tones, and how plants grow better in more uplifting and light environments.

Something that every human can appreciate is beauty, and beauty is generally associated with goodness. It is a mystery why we find some things beautiful and others not, but regardless w are programed to recognize it for our survival. In specific, one common quality of beauty is symmetry seeing that it cues good health and prosperity. In addition, t here is overwhelming evidence that beauty improves cognitive and physical health. An experiment involving artwork was conducted where people were asked to observe sets of two very similar paintings and report which one they felt was more beautiful and meaningful. Week 12 post 2

 Amid all of this political tension, there is so much denial surrounding social injustices. One of which being unequal opportunities. Not only do people not accept that systemic racism is still extremely prevalent in the United States, they don't understand why "hard work" is not a reasonable answer to the problem.  In electromagnetism, photons vibrate at different frequencies which result in unique energies. This ranges from x-rays, radio waves, ultraviolet light, visible light, gamma rays and so forth. A higher frequency a photon has, the more energy it carries. Take visible light for example:  Red is the color with the greatest wavelength, lowest frequency and therefore lowest in energy. Week 1 - Post 3

The speed of light amazes me- not the actual velocity but what it represents. Why is it that 300,000,000m/s is the speed that an object with mass would approach an infinite mass? There must be something supremely significant about electromagnetic energy and its properties.  What happens when you go faster than the speed of light, would you time travel? And would bodies approaching the speed of light theoretically become singular since you decrease in apparent length the quicker you move? I also want to learn more about orientation in space. Because space is a vacuum and there is no "up, down, right, left, back, and forth.
